Disney’s Historic Grammy Deal Signals New Era for Music’s Biggest Night

In a major shift, the Grammy Awards will move from CBS to Disney in 2027 under a ten-year agreement that will bring the prestigious ceremony to ABC, Hulu, and Disney+ through 2036.
This marks the first new broadcast partnership for the Grammys in over 50 years, ending CBS’s record-breaking tenure as the event’s home since 1973. Disney’s exclusive rights are set to include live broadcast simulcasts, Grammy-branded music specials, and new programming centered on music excellence.
Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. expressed excitement, highlighting Disney’s alignment with the Academy’s mission of representing creators globally.
The agreement bolsters Disney’s lineup of premier live events, which will feature the Grammys, Oscars, and Super Bowl all in 2027. As Disney looks forward to presenting “Music’s Biggest Night,” fans can anticipate an enhanced, dynamic Grammy experience across multiple platforms.
