This December 9, Disney+ and ESPN+ are bringing fans a unique fusion of animated comedy and NFL action with The Simpsons Funday Football. This special live broadcast, featuring the Cincinnati Bengals and Dallas Cowboys, brings Monday Night Football into the heart of The Simpsons universe. As a real-time animated game, viewers can watch Bart team up with the Bengals while Homer joins the Cowboys in an immersive NFL experience set at Springfield’s iconic Atoms Stadium.
Leveraging state-of-the-art technology like NFL’s Next Gen Stats and Sony’s Beyond Sports, the game will be recreated virtually in real-time, with every pass, tackle, and touchdown animated to life. Fans can expect classic Simpsons characters and signature humor to enhance the gameplay, with Bart and Homer taking part in key moments on the field. Meanwhile, Marge and Lisa interview players, Maggie operates the SkyCam, and beloved Springfield characters like Krusty, Nelson, Moe, and Lenny join the sidelines.
In addition to the Simpsons-style telecast on Disney+ and ESPN+, the traditional MNF broadcast will air on ESPN, ABC, and ESPN Deportes, with the “Peyton and Eli” show on ESPN2. For fans globally, The Simpsons Funday Football will be available across multiple markets live or on-demand. This second annual animated MNF presentation promises an unforgettable night for sports and animation fans alike.
