Series Description:
“Marvel’s Runaways” is a live-action television series based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name. The show premiered on Hulu in the United States on November 21, 2017, and concluded with its third season on December 13, 2019.
The series follows a group of six teenagers who discover that their parents are members of a powerful and sinister organization known as “PRIDE.” Uniting against their parents’ evil actions, the teenagers realize they have inherited special abilities and decide to run away from home.
Each of the six teens possesses unique powers and skills:
- Alex Wilder (played by Rhenzy Feliz): A strategic mastermind with leadership skills.
- Nico Minoru (played by Lyrica Okano): A goth girl who wields the powerful mystical artifact, the “Staff of One.”
- Karolina Dean (played by Virginia Gardner): A young woman with alien ancestry, who can manipulate light and fly.
- Gert Yorkes (played by Ariela Barer): A social justice warrior with a telepathic connection to a genetically-engineered dinosaur named Old Lace.
- Chase Stein (played by Gregg Sulkin): A tech-savvy engineer who wields powerful gauntlets called “Fistigons.”
- Molly Hernandez (played by Allegra Acosta): The youngest member with superhuman strength.
As the teenagers navigate their newfound abilities, they must also face personal challenges, family secrets, and the complexities of adolescence. While they initially band together to oppose their parents’ sinister plots, they soon find themselves taking on larger threats and protecting innocent lives.
