Who is Admiral Piett?

In The Empire Strikes Back, Piett is a captain and serves aboard Darth Vader’s flagship, the Super Star Destroyer Executor. He is present during the Battle of Hoth, where he impresses Vader with his tactical skill and is promoted to Admiral after Vader kills his predecessor, Admiral Ozzel.

In Return of the Jedi, Piett serves as the commanding officer of the Executor during the Battle of Endor. He is ultimately killed when the ship is destroyed by the Rebel Alliance’s fighter attack.
