Who is Jango Fett?
Jango Fett is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise. He is a bounty hunter who is the genetic template for the clone army in the prequel trilogy, which takes place before the original Star Wars trilogy. Jango is first introduced in Episode II: Attack of the Clones.
Jango is known for his distinctive Mandalorian armor and his proficiency as a bounty hunter. He is hired by the separatists to serve as the genetic template for the clone army that will fight against the Jedi Order and the Republic. In exchange for his services, Jango is given an unaltered clone as his son, Boba Fett.
Jango is ultimately killed in a confrontation with Jedi Master Mace Windu on the planet Geonosis. His death is witnessed by his son, Boba, who will go on to become a bounty hunter in his own right and play a significant role in the original Star Wars trilogy.
The character was played by Temuera Morrison.
