Who is Amelia Gabble?
Amelia Gabble is a character from Disney’s 1970 animated film The Aristocats. She is one of two English geese, along with her sister Abigail Gabble, who appear in the movie.
Amelia and Abigail help Duchess, the main feline character, and her kittens when they become lost in the countryside while trying to return home to Paris. The Gabble sisters are depicted as comical, charming, and somewhat scatterbrained characters who provide a lighthearted and humorous touch to the story.
Amelia Gabble is voiced by actress Monica Evans. Both Evans and her co-star Carole Shelley, who voices Abigail Gabble, are known for their distinctive British accents, which lend a memorable flair to the characters. Interestingly, Evans and Shelley also played a famous duo in another Disney classic, voicing the roles of Maid Marian and Lady Kluck in Robin Hood (1973).
