Who is Andy Davis?
Andy Davis is a major character in the Toy Story franchise by Pixar. He is the young boy to whom Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the other toys belong.
In the original Toy Story films, Andy is depicted as a kind and imaginative child who loves playing with his toys, particularly his favorite, Woody. Throughout the series, Andy grows up, and much of the story revolves around the toys’ fear of becoming irrelevant as he ages.
By Toy Story 3, Andy is preparing to leave for college, and the emotional climax of the movie comes when he chooses to pass his beloved toys on to a young girl named Bonnie, symbolizing his transition into adulthood. Andy’s deep affection for his toys and his eventual decision to let them go resonates with audiences, making him a crucial figure in the emotional heart of the series.
Andy is voiced by John Morris, who provided the voice for the character across the Toy Story films. Morris first voiced Andy as a child actor in the original Toy Story (1995) and reprised his role in Toy Story 2 (1999) and Toy Story 3 (2010).
