Who is Angela?
Angela is a character from the animated television series Gargoyles, which aired in the 1990s. She is a member of the gargoyle clan and the biological daughter of Goliath, the leader of the Manhattan Clan, and Demona, one of the series’ central antagonists.
Angela was raised on Avalon, a mystical island, under the care of the Avalon Clan and was introduced to Goliath and the rest of the Manhattan Clan later in the series.
Angela is characterized by her compassionate, intelligent, and strong-willed personality. Her journey throughout the series often revolves around her struggle to reconcile her heritage—being the daughter of both a heroic leader and a villainous antagonist—and finding her place within the Manhattan Clan. She often shows a desire to redeem her mother, Demona, despite her evil actions.
