Who is Assistant Mayor Dawn Bellwether?
Assistant Mayor Dawn Bellwether is a character in the Disney animated film “Zootopia” (2016). She is the assistant mayor of the city of Zootopia and works under the mayor, Lionheart.
Initially, she appears to be helpful and supportive to the main protagonist Judy Hopps, however, it is later revealed that she is the mastermind behind a conspiracy to frame predators as dangerous in order to maintain her own power and control over the city.
Throughout the movie, Assistant Mayor Bellwether is portrayed as a cunning and manipulative individual who is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve her goals, even if it means putting others in harm’s way. She is a small sheep, and her appearance is designed to evoke the image of a typical bureaucratic functionary. She was voiced by Jenny Slate.
