Who is Basil of Baker Street?

Basil of Baker Street is a fictional character from the 1986 Disney animated film “The Great Mouse Detective.” He is a mouse who is modeled after the fictional detective Sherlock Holmes and lives in the rodent-inhabited world of Victorian London. He is known for his intelligence, observation and deduction skills, and solves cases with the help of his trusty sidekick, Dr. Dawson. He is voiced by actor Barrie Ingham in the original film.
