Who is Baymax?
Baymax is a lovable and iconic character from Disney’s Big Hero 6. He is a healthcare companion robot designed by Tadashi Hamada, the older brother of the film’s protagonist, Hiro Hamada.
Baymax is created with the purpose of providing medical assistance and caregiving, with a soft, inflatable, white body to appear non-threatening and comforting to patients.
Throughout Big Hero 6, Baymax serves as Hiro’s friend and protector, evolving from a simple healthcare robot into a powerful hero as part of a superhero team. His calm, caring personality and catchphrase “On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your pain?” have made him an instantly recognizable and beloved figure.
Baymax was voiced by Scott Adsit, a comedian and actor known for his work on shows like 30 Rock.
