Who is Beaver?
Beaver is a minor but memorable character from Disney’s classic animated film Lady and the Tramp (1955). He is depicted as a well-meaning but somewhat comical beaver who works diligently in a forest near the town where Lady and Tramp live. Beaver’s main role in the film is to help Tramp and Lady remove the muzzle that has been placed on Lady.
Using his natural chewing skills and a bit of ingenuity, Beaver cuts through the leather of the muzzle, which he then repurposes as a useful tool for his dam-building work.
In the original 1955 animated film, Beaver was voiced by actor Stan Freberg, who brought a distinct sense of humor to the role, with a signature lisp and enthusiastic personality. Freberg was known for his voice work in various animated projects, and his portrayal of Beaver added a touch of comic relief to Lady and the Tramp.
