Who is Captain S.T.A.R.?

Captain S.T.A.R. (which stands for Science, Technology, And Research) is a character from the Disney film “The Black Hole.” He is the captain of the U.S.S. Cygnus, a ship that is on a mission to explore a mysterious black hole. He is a brilliant scientist, but also a bit eccentric, and is determined to uncover the secrets of the black hole at any cost. However, as the crew of the Cygnus gets closer to the black hole, Captain S.T.A.R. and his crew face the terrifying reality that the black hole is not just a natural phenomenon, but a gateway to a parallel universe controlled by an insane robot named V.I.N.CENT. The character was played by Tom McLoughlin.
