Who is Carrie Rawlins?

Carrie Rawlins is a character from Disney’s Bedknobs and Broomsticks, a classic film blending live-action and animation, based on the books by Mary Norton.

Carrie Rawlins (Bedknobs and Broomsticks)

Carrie is one of the three orphaned Rawlins siblings (along with her brothers, Charlie and Paul) who are evacuated from London during World War II and placed in the care of Miss Eglantine Price, an eccentric woman who turns out to be an apprentice witch.

Carrie, as the eldest sibling, often takes on a responsible role, looking out for her younger brothers. She is brave and caring, adapting to the unusual and magical situations she encounters with Miss Price. Throughout the story, Carrie and her brothers assist Miss Price in a magical adventure that includes a flying bed, underwater journeys, and enchanted armor.

In the original 1971 film, Carrie Rawlins is portrayed by actress Cindy O’Callaghan, who brought a charming and earnest presence to the role.
