Who is Chief?
Chief is a character from the 1981 Disney animated film “The Fox and the Hound“. He is a hunting dog and the leader of a pack of hounds owned by the main antagonist of the film, Amos Slade. Chief is voiced by actor Paul Winchell. He is shown to be a fierce and skilled hunter, but also a loyal companion to Amos. Despite his initial hostility towards Tod, the fox protagonist of the film, he eventually becomes friends with him and helps him to escape from Amos. He is also depicted as wise and experienced in the ways of the wild, and is often shown giving advice to the other hounds.
