Who is Coyote?Coyote is a character from the Disney animated series “Gargoyles,” which originally aired from 1994-1997. He is a shapeshifter and trickster, who is based on the mythical figure of the same name from various Native American cultures. He was created by the series’ main antagonist, the evil sorcerer, David Xanatos, as a weapon to use against the show’s heroes, the Gargoyles. He is a recurring villain, and his shapeshifting abilities allow him to take the form of various animals and people. He is voiced by actor John Rhys-Davies in the series.
