Who is David Freeman?

David Freeman is the main character in the 1986 science fiction film Flight of the Navigator.

He is a 12-year-old boy who, after a mysterious incident, finds himself transported eight years into the future without aging a day. The story follows David as he tries to understand what happened to him and discovers that he’s been taken aboard an alien spacecraft named Max, a highly advanced, intelligent ship with a quirky personality.

David learns that Max, short for Trimaxion Drone Ship, accidentally brought him to the future as part of an intergalactic study.
