Who is Demetrius?
Demetrius is a minor character in Disney’s animated film “Hercules,” released in 1997. He is a citizen of Thebes, the city in which much of the film’s story takes place.
Demetrius appears briefly in the film during the song “The Gospel Truth.” He is part of the crowd that watches in awe as the baby Hercules is brought to the temple of Zeus by his parents, Zeus and Hera. The film portrays this moment as a grand celebration with gods and humans in attendance.
