Who is Grem?
Grem is a character from Cars 2, an animated feature film by Pixar and Disney. Grem is a 1974 AMC Gremlin, painted in a distinctive orange hue, and one of the primary antagonists in the movie.
Alongside his accomplice Acer, Grem is a member of a group of “lemon” cars, known for being unreliable and problematic vehicles that are frequently mocked by others in the car world. These “lemons” harbor a sense of resentment and frustration about their reputation, leading them to band together and plot to sabotage the World Grand Prix, a high-profile racing event. Their aim is to undermine the reputation of a new alternative fuel called Allinol by making it appear dangerous and explosive, ultimately promoting traditional gasoline and taking revenge on the car world that ridiculed them.
Grem is voiced by actor Joe Mantegna, a celebrated figure known for his roles in television, film, and voice acting.
