Who is Henry Turner?
Henry Turner is a fictional character in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series, portrayed by actor Brenton Thwaites. He first appears in the fifth installment of the franchise, “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” (2017).
Henry is the son of Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann, the main characters from the first three films. He is determined to break the curse that his father is under, which binds him to serve as the captain of the Flying Dutchman for ten years at a time. To do this, Henry sets out to find the Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artifact that can break all sea curses. Along the way, he teams up with Captain Jack Sparrow and Carina Smyth, a brilliant astronomer and horologist.
Henry is portrayed as a brave and determined young man, who is willing to risk everything to save his father from his curse. He is also shown to have inherited his father’s sword-fighting skills, as well as his sense of honor and duty.
