Imelda Rivera (Coco)

Imelda’s character is essential in shaping the family’s strict “no music” rule, which Miguel, the protagonist, eventually confronts as he follows his passion for music. Although she is initially portrayed as stern and unyielding, her story gradually reveals a loving but wounded woman whose rigid stance stems from her sense of betrayal.
