Who is Jacques?

Jacques is a character from Disney and Pixar’s animated film Finding Nemo. He’s a small, vibrant cleaner shrimp who resides in a fish tank in the office of a dentist, Dr. Sherman, in Sydney, Australia.

As a member of the “Tank Gang,” a group of fish trapped in the dentist’s aquarium, Jacques plays a quirky but essential role. His primary function among the group is to keep the tank clean by removing any algae or detritus, which aligns with his role as a cleaner shrimp. Jacques is particularly meticulous about cleanliness, often getting excited when he gets the chance to “clean” something, which adds a bit of humor to his character.

Jacques has a memorable personality, characterized by his animated and slightly obsessive nature, particularly regarding his cleaning tasks. He’s easily recognizable by his French accent, his reddish-pink body, and his long, white antennae.
