Lord Macintosh (Brave)
Last Updated on: November 29th, 2024
Who is Lord Macintosh?
Lord Macintosh is a notable character from Disney and Pixar’s animated film Brave (2012). He is one of the leaders of the three clans that come together under the kingdom of King Fergus and Queen Elinor of DunBroch.
Known for his eccentric and boisterous personality, Lord Macintosh is characterized by his wiry frame, wild red hair, and blue-painted face, a nod to traditional Scottish war paint. He is fiercely proud of his heritage and his clan, often displaying a mix of arrogance and competitive spirit.
Lord Macintosh’s son is one of the three young suitors vying for the hand of Princess Merida. True to his father’s demeanor, the young Macintosh showcases a similar high-energy and somewhat quirky personality. However, the humorous tension among the clans arises from Lord Macintosh’s pride and his interactions with the other lords, particularly the bombastic Lord Dingwall and the burly Lord MacGuffin.
The character is brought to life by the voice talent of Craig Ferguson, a Scottish-American comedian, actor, and television host.
