Who is Merlin?
Merlin is a character from the Disney animated film “The Sword in the Stone.” He is a powerful wizard who serves as the mentor and guardian of the film’s main character, Wart (later known as King Arthur). He is known for his wisdom, magic powers and his ability to transform himself into different forms. He is voiced by actor Karl Swenson in the original film and later by Corey Burton in the Disney series. Merlin is based on the legendary wizard of the Arthurian legends, who is said to have mentored King Arthur and helped him to become the greatest king of Britain. In the film, Merlin is depicted as a wise and powerful wizard who guides Wart through a series of adventures and challenges, teaching him valuable lessons about responsibility, courage, and the importance of knowledge.
