Who is Mrs. Featherby?

Mrs. Featherby is a minor but memorable character from the DuckTales franchise, appearing primarily in the 1987 animated series. She serves as the secretary to Scrooge McDuck, handling his business affairs with professionalism and dedication.

Mrs. Featherby (DuckTales)

Often seen working at Scrooge’s office in McDuck Enterprises, Mrs. Featherby is depicted as a competent, polite, and somewhat motherly figure. Though her appearances are limited, she plays an essential role in keeping Scrooge’s vast financial empire running smoothly, offering a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the operations of his bustling business.

In the DuckTales reboot series (2017–2021), Mrs. Featherby was reimagined with a more eccentric personality, appearing in brief but humorous scenes. Her quirky traits and exaggerated reactions added a fresh comedic element to her character, contrasting with her reserved demeanor in the original series.

In the 1987 DuckTales, Mrs. Featherby was voiced by Joan Gerber, a prolific voice actress known for her work on numerous animated series, including The Smurfs and The Flintstones. In the reboot, Mrs. Featherby’s voice was provided by Susanne Blakeslee, who is recognized for voicing iconic characters like Wanda from The Fairly OddParents and Maleficent in various Disney productions.
