Who is Neera?

Neera is a key character in Disney’s Dinosaur (2000), an epic animated adventure film that blends CGI with live-action backgrounds. She is a young, compassionate Iguanodon and serves as the love interest of the film’s protagonist, Aladar.

Neera is initially wary of Aladar, as she has grown up in a harsh environment where survival often meant competition and distrust. However, her views gradually shift as Aladar demonstrates kindness, courage, and leadership qualities. Neera becomes an integral part of the story, embodying hope and resilience. She ultimately supports Aladar in rallying the herd to stand up against both physical threats, like the Carnotaurus, and the oppressive leadership of Kron, her brother.

Neera is voiced by Julianna Margulies, an acclaimed actress best known for her role as Nurse Carol Hathaway in the television series ER and later as Alicia Florrick in The Good Wife.
