Who is Nuka?

Nuka is a character from Disney’s “The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride,” which is a direct-to-video sequel to the original “The Lion King” animated film. Nuka is not a lion in Scar’s pride but rather an Outsider who resides in the Outlands.

Nuka is the older brother of Vitani and Kovu, the latter of whom becomes a key character in “The Lion King II.” Nuka is known for his distinct appearance, with a scruffy and unkempt mane, a scar over his eye, and a rather neurotic personality. He is portrayed as being resentful of his younger brother Kovu because Kovu is chosen by Scar to be his successor, while Nuka feels neglected and overshadowed.

Nuka’s character is a tragic one. He is shown as being desperate to please Scar and gain his approval, but he constantly falls short of Scar’s expectations. His obsession with proving himself ultimately leads to his demise when he tries to take down Simba’s daughter, Kiara, to impress Scar.
