Who is Orddu?
Orddu is a character from Disney’s animated film “The Black Cauldron,” which was released in 1985. The film is loosely based on Lloyd Alexander’s “The Chronicles of Prydain” book series.
Orddu, along with her sisters Orwen and Orgoch, is one of the three witches who live in the Marshes of Morva. These witches are known for their eccentric and mysterious nature. They are in possession of the mystical Black Cauldron, which is sought after by the film’s protagonist, Taran, and his companions.
Orddu is often portrayed as the spokesperson of the trio and is the one who initially interacts with Taran and his friends when they come to the Marshes of Morva in search of the Black Cauldron. She is a somewhat enigmatic character who enjoys toying with others and challenging their wits.
