Who is Patch?

Patch is a playful and adventurous puppy from Disney’s animated classic One Hundred and One Dalmatians (1961).

As one of Pongo and Perdita’s 15 biological puppies, Patch is easily recognizable by the large black patch over one of his eyes, which sets him apart from his siblings. His energetic personality and boundless curiosity make him one of the most prominent puppies in the story.

Patch loves television and idolizes the fictional canine superhero Thunderbolt, often mimicking his daring catchphrases and dreaming of being a hero himself. His love for adventure takes center stage in the sequel 101 Dalmatians II: Patch’s London Adventure (2003), where he becomes the main character, embarking on an exciting journey alongside his TV idol.

In the original 1961 film, Patch was voiced by actor Mickey Maga, whose youthful and lively performance brought the excitable puppy to life. For the 2003 sequel, the character was voiced by Bobby Lockwood, who provided a fresh and spirited take on the character for a new generation of fans.
