Who is Perry the Platypus / Agent P?

Agent P, also known as Perry the Platypus, is a key character from Disney’s animated series Phineas and Ferb.

By day, Perry is the lovable and quiet pet platypus of the titular characters, Phineas and Ferb. However, he leads a double life as Agent P, a skilled and suave secret agent working for the O.W.C.A. (Organization Without a Cool Acronym), an organization of animal spies. Tasked with thwarting the evil schemes of the bumbling Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz, Perry’s missions often add an action-packed subplot to each episode.

As a secret agent, Perry dons a brown fedora, which distinguishes his alter ego from his domestic life. Despite his silent demeanor (platypuses are silent in real life), Perry is a resourceful and quick-witted agent. His battles with Doofenshmirtz are characterized by a comedic rivalry, where their interactions range from clever banter to slapstick humor. Interestingly, Doofenshmirtz often shows a surprising fondness for Perry, despite their adversarial relationship.

Perry the Platypus does not have a speaking voice, but his characteristic “platypus chatter” was created by actor and sound designer Dee Bradley Baker.
