Who is Pom-Pom?

Pom-Pom is a feline character introduced in Cinderella II: Dreams Come True, the 2002 sequel to Disney’s classic Cinderella.

A dainty, white cat with a regal demeanor, Pom-Pom lives in Cinderella’s castle and serves as a foil to Jaq and Gus, Cinderella’s loyal mouse friends. She is portrayed as elegant, aloof, and somewhat condescending, often exuding an air of superiority. Her role in the movie adds a layer of comedic tension as she continuously attempts to chase and catch the mice, showcasing her playful but mischievous nature.

Pom-Pom plays a significant part in the third segment of the film, titled “An Uncommon Romance.” In this story, her interactions with the castle mice are complicated by the romantic subplot involving her and another character, the castle’s footman Bruno, who has been transformed into a dog. Despite her haughty exterior, Pom-Pom ultimately warms to Bruno, adding a surprising twist to her seemingly one-dimensional personality.

Pom-Pom was voiced by veteran voice actress Tress MacNeille, whose extensive credits include iconic roles such as Daisy Duck in Disney projects and various characters in The Simpsons and Futurama.
