Who is Queen Mousetoria?
Queen Mousetoria is a regal character from Disney’s “The Great Mouse Detective” (1986), an animated film based on the book series Basil of Baker Street by Eve Titus. The film is set in Victorian-era London and follows Basil, a clever and eccentric detective modeled after Sherlock Holmes, as he works to thwart the evil schemes of Professor Ratigan, a criminal mastermind. Queen Mousetoria, a direct parallel to England’s Queen Victoria, is depicted as the beloved ruler of the mouse world in this charming adventure.
In the story, Queen Mousetoria plays a pivotal role as Ratigan’s ultimate target. His sinister plan involves replacing her with a robot replica under his control, which would allow him to rule over the mouse population with an iron paw.
