Who is Rod “Torque” Redline?
Rod “Torque” Redline is a character in Disney-Pixar’s animated film “Cars 2,” which was released in 2011. He is a minor character in the film but plays a significant role in the story.
Rod Redline is introduced as a suave and sophisticated American spy car who works for the intelligence agency C.H.R.O.M.E. (Command Headquarters for Recon Operations and Motorized Espionage). He is known for his sleek design and advanced spy gadgets.
In the film’s plot, Rod Redline is on a mission to gather intelligence about the mysterious villainous organization known as the Lemons and their plan to sabotage the World Grand Prix, an international racing competition. Before his capture, Rod manages to pass on this information to his fellow spy, Finn McMissile, setting in motion the events of the film as Finn and his partner Holley Shiftwell attempt to thwart the Lemons’ plot.
