Who is Rosita?
Rosita is a character from Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, a beloved animatronic show at Disneyland and other Disney parks. The Enchanted Tiki Room is home to a variety of lively animatronic birds, flowers, and tikis, who perform a musical show for guests.
Rosita, a white cockatoo with a playful personality, was originally referenced only in passing, with her fellow performers asking, “Whatever happened to Rosita?” This line became something of a mystery and fan favorite over the years.
In 2018, Rosita was given her own animatronic figure at Disneyland’s Tropical Hideaway, an area adjacent to the Enchanted Tiki Room. This addition finally revealed her character to the audience, and she became a more tangible part of the Tiki Room lore. In her new home, Rosita interacts with guests, sharing light-hearted quips and stories as she waits for her big break. She adds a new dimension to the Tiki Room experience, deepening the whimsical backstory and charm of the classic attraction.
