Who is Sir Tuxford?
Sir Tuxford is a loyal and somewhat bumbling knight in Disney’s classic animated series Adventures of the Gummi Bears.
As the leader of King Gregor’s knights, Sir Tuxford is responsible for the defense of Dunwyn Castle and often finds himself tasked with protecting the kingdom from threats, including the recurring villains Duke Igthorn and his ogre army. Despite his earnestness and dedication to his role, Sir Tuxford is known for his comic mishaps, overly confident declarations, and occasionally overestimating his own abilities. His heart is always in the right place, however, and his bravery shines through when the situation demands it. Sir Tuxford is also known for his catchphrase, “By my knighthood!” which he often exclaims in moments of surprise or determination.
The character adds humor and charm to the series while embodying the ideals of chivalry and loyalty. Sir Tuxford frequently interacts with the Gummi Bears, though he, like most humans in the series, is unaware of their magical powers and true significance to the kingdom.
Sir Tuxford was voiced by actor Bill Scott, a legendary voice actor best known for his work as Bullwinkle in The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle.
