Who is Sofia the First?

Sofia is the central character from Disney’s animated television series Sofia the First.

The show, which aired from 2013 to 2018 on Disney Junior, follows the journey of Sofia, a young village girl who becomes royalty after her mother marries King Roland II of the kingdom of Enchancia. This life-changing event transforms Sofia into a princess, and the series chronicles her adventures as she learns what it truly means to be royal. The show emphasizes themes of kindness, compassion, courage, and personal growth, making it beloved by younger audiences and families.

Sofia is portrayed as a relatable and kind-hearted young girl navigating her new world. Her close friends include a rabbit named Clover and her stepsiblings, Amber and James.

The voice of Sofia was brought to life by actress Ariel Winter, best known for her role as Alex Dunphy on the sitcom Modern Family.
