Who is Thailog?

Thailog is a notable character from Disney’s Gargoyles, a beloved animated series that originally aired in the 1990s.

Thailog is a genetically engineered clone of Goliath, the series’ heroic protagonist, and is one of the most compelling villains in the show. Created by Dr. Anton Sevarius under the manipulation of the series’ primary antagonist, David Xanatos, Thailog is an evil doppelgänger with a sinister personality that contrasts sharply with Goliath’s noble and protective nature.

Unlike Goliath, Thailog is highly cunning, manipulative, and ruthless, traits that make him a formidable adversary. He is also highly intelligent and resourceful, often orchestrating complex schemes to gain power and wealth. Thailog’s most distinct physical feature is his coloration—his stone skin is a dark blue-gray, and his hair is white, setting him apart visually from Goliath.

Thailog was voiced by Keith David, the same actor who provided the voice for Goliath. Keith David’s deep and resonant voice was modified for Thailog to sound more menacing and distinct, enhancing the character’s villainous nature.
