Who is The Captain?
The Captain is a supporting character in Disney’s animated classic One Hundred and One Dalmatians (1961).
A loyal and courageous horse, The Captain lives on a farm alongside his animal companions, Sergeant Tibbs, a resourceful tabby cat, and Colonel, an elderly sheepdog. Together, they play an integral role in aiding Pongo and Perdita’s daring rescue of their stolen puppies from the clutches of the villainous Cruella de Vil.
The Captain’s defining traits include his bravery and determination, as well as his good-natured personality. His quick thinking and teamwork with Sergeant Tibbs and Colonel are pivotal in the dramatic rescue operation. Notably, The Captain uses his strength to help save the puppies, smashing through obstacles to clear their path to freedom.
