Who is The Indian Chief?

The Indian Chief, also known as “The Chief” or “Big Chief,” is a minor yet memorable character in Disney’s Peter Pan (1953). He is the leader of the Indian tribe that resides in Neverland and is the father of Tiger Lily, a key figure in the story.

The Chief is characterized by his commanding presence, traditional feathered headdress, and robust, deep voice. His interactions with Peter Pan, the Lost Boys, and other characters add an element of humor and cultural mystique to the film.

In the story, the Chief is initially upset when he believes Peter Pan and his friends have kidnapped Tiger Lily, prompting him to threaten their safety.
