Who is The King?

In Disney’s “Cinderella,” the character known simply as “The King” is Cinderella’s father and the ruler of the kingdom in which the story takes place. He plays a minor role in the film but is an important figure in Cinderella’s life.

In Disney’s 2015 live-action adaptation of “Cinderella,” the character of The King is portrayed by actor Derek Jacobi, and his role is expanded slightly to give him more depth and screen time.
