Who is Thumper?
Thumper is a beloved character from Disney’s classic animated film Bambi (1942). He is a young, cheerful rabbit known for his energetic personality, mischievous antics, and endearing habit of thumping his left hind foot whenever he’s excited or trying to make a point.
Thumper is one of Bambi’s closest friends and plays a crucial role in helping the young deer learn about the world around him. From teaching Bambi how to ice skate to introducing him to the concept of love, Thumper’s playful nature and wisdom add charm and humor to the story.
Thumper’s character is also remembered for his famous line, “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say nothing at all,” imparted by his mother as a lesson in kindness and consideration. This quote has become one of Disney’s most iconic lines.
In the original Bambi film, Thumper was voiced by Peter Behn, a young child actor at the time. Behn’s innocent and lively voice perfectly captured Thumper’s youthful exuberance. O
