Treelo (Bear in the Big Blue House)

Who is Treelo?
Treelo is a vibrant and energetic lemur from the children’s television series Bear in the Big Blue House. He is characterized by his light green fur, a white tummy, and a distinctive long tail adorned with light blue rings. His red nose and blue paws, eyelids, and ears add to his unique appearance.
As a lemur, Treelo delights in swinging from vines and exhibits boundless energy. He has a particular fondness for feathers, maintaining a personal collection, and possesses the ability to wiggle his ears. Treelo communicates in a unique trilling manner, often becoming incoherent when excited—a form of speech playfully referred to as “Treeloese.”
Within the Big Blue House, Treelo is slightly younger than his peers and shares a close friendship with Ojo, a curious bear cub. He enjoys listening to music on the radio and dancing, often turning on the radio to play music whenever he sees one.
Treelo was brought to life by puppeteer Tyler Bunch, who not only performed the character but also contributed to his naming. Initially called “Rollo,” the name was changed to “Treelo” to avoid confusion with another Playhouse Disney series, Rolie Polie Olie.
