Who is Tuck and Roll?
Tuck and Roll are two comedic twin pill bugs from Disney and Pixar’s A Bug’s Life (1998).
They are performers in P.T. Flea’s circus troupe, known for their playful bickering, slapstick antics, and love of mischief. Originally from Hungary, their thick accents and humorous misunderstandings add a unique charm to their characters. Despite their constant squabbles, Tuck and Roll share an inseparable bond and often work together, especially during their performances as “human cannonballs” or acrobats.
Throughout the film, Tuck and Roll are integral in helping Flik and the ant colony execute their plan to build a fake bird to scare off the oppressive grasshoppers. Their acrobatic skills and courage prove invaluable, showcasing that even the smallest characters can make a big difference.
Both Tuck and Roll were voiced by Michael McShane, an actor and comedian known for his work in Whose Line Is It Anyway? McShane’s energetic performance brings life to their playful personalities.
