Who is Tui?
Tui is the father of the main character, Moana, in the Disney animated film “Moana.” He is the chief of the village of Motunui and is responsible for the well-being and safety of his people. He is a wise and strong leader who cares deeply for his daughter, Moana, but is also determined to keep her from venturing beyond the reef due to his fear of the dangers of the open ocean. However, throughout the film, Tui learns to trust in his daughter’s abilities and allows her to follow her calling to save her people by restoring the heart of Te Fiti.
