Who is Waldo C. Graphic?
Waldo C. Graphic is a character introduced in the Disney attraction MuppetVision 3D, a 3D show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida and Disney California Adventure.
Created as the first fully computer-generated Muppet, Waldo is known as the “Spirit of 3D,” bringing a new visual and interactive dimension to the classic Muppets cast. In the attraction, Waldo is portrayed as mischievous and whimsical, often causing chaos and humorously breaking the fourth wall with his antics.
Waldo’s creation was revolutionary at the time, representing a blend of Jim Henson’s traditional puppetry with emerging computer animation technology. His unpredictable, shape-shifting nature lets him morph into various forms, from objects to animals, enhancing the 3D experience of the show.
He is voiced by Steve Whitmire, a long-time puppeteer who also voiced iconic characters such as Kermit the Frog after Jim Henson’s passing, Rizzo the Rat, and Beaker.
