Wiggins (Pocahontas)

Who is Wiggins?
Wiggins is a supporting character from Disney’s animated film Pocahontas (1995). He is the loyal yet comically inept manservant to Governor Ratcliffe, the main antagonist of the movie.
Wiggins is characterized by his over-the-top enthusiasm, refined manners, and comically oblivious nature, which contrasts sharply with Ratcliffe’s ruthless and pompous personality. Despite being involved in Ratcliffe’s schemes to exploit the New World for gold, Wiggins himself is not malicious; instead, he often provides comic relief through his clueless behavior and humorous remarks.
Wiggins is remembered for his impeccable grooming and penchant for florals, exemplified in the memorable scene where he creates a decorative flower arrangement with the dog Percy. His lighthearted demeanor and dedication to his master’s whims add a layer of levity to the more intense themes of the film, such as cultural conflict and environmental respect.
The character of Wiggins was voiced by David Ogden Stiers, a renowned actor and voice talent. Stiers was well-known for his work in various Disney projects, including voicing Cogsworth in Beauty and the Beast and the Archdeacon in The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
