McDonald’s in Disneyland Description
McDonald’s had a presence at Disneyland in California for several years. In 1997, McDonald’s became the first-ever major sponsor of Disneyland’s annual promotion called “Celebration, U.S.A.” As part of the sponsorship agreement, McDonald’s operated two fast-food locations within Disneyland Park: the “McDonald’s at Disneyland” restaurant and the “McDonald’s Fry Cart.”
The McDonald’s at Disneyland restaurant was located in the Disneyland Park outside of Tomorrowland, near the entrance of the Monorail station. It offered the classic McDonald’s menu items, including hamburgers, fries, and other fast-food options.
The McDonald’s Fry Cart was a smaller, outdoor food cart located in Adventureland near the Jungle Cruise attraction. As the name suggests, it primarily served McDonald’s famous french fries.
These McDonald’s locations at Disneyland operated until 2007, as the sponsorship agreement between McDonald’s and Disneyland eventually came to an end. The restaurants and the fry cart were subsequently rethemed and rebranded under different names and concepts.
