Big Changes Could be on the Horizon for Epcot

Last Updated on: February 12th, 2019

Disney Parks News Epcot changesA few weeks back, I wrote about rumors that were swirling about possible changes coming to Epcot’s Universe of Energy pavilion after Disney filed for a permit to remove a drainage canal behind it. Today, our friends over at Theme Park Insider do an excellent job at expanding on what may be going on there along with a number of other potentially dramatic changes that could be on the horizon for Epcot, including moving the park entrance and adding a hotel! The article is a bit long in terms of Disney blog posts, but very well written and a quick read if you are as interested in the future of Epcot as I am. Go check it out.

While we are on the topic of Epcot changes, Chip & Company have a piece today about a rumor that Disney might be replacing the Grand Fiesta Tour at Epcot’s Mexico Pavilion with either a new Coco-themed overlay or a completely new Coco ride in its place. This is just a rumor, but worth keeping an eye on and it makes Coco’s performance at the box office later on this year even more interesting.
