“Playing God” is a 1997 crime thriller film directed by Andy Wilson. The movie stars David Duchovny as Dr. Eugene Sands, a talented but disgraced surgeon who lost his medical license due to drug addiction. After hitting rock bottom, Eugene is offered a chance at redemption by mobster Raymond Blossom, played by Timothy Hutton.
