BIG Disneyland Expansion News: Avatar, Coco, and More!

Disney just unveiled more details about their major Disneyland forward expansion plans, introducing new attractions and significant infrastructure enhancements.

In Disney California Adventure, a new Avatar-themed land, inspired by Avatar Way of Water, is set to replace the “Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue!” ride which will close in early 2026.

Also in DCA, a Coco”-inspired attraction will be constructed near Paradise Gardens Park and Pixar Pier, utilizing backstage areas without closing existing attractions.

To accommodate increased guests, a new 6,000 space parking structure and pedestrian bridge over Harbor Boulevard are planned, enhancing access to the resort.
